Our band plays/records in a small home studio and I sit about 4 feet from the drums. I have ben using an older set of phones (dont know the brand as its been scratched off) with a personal "more me" mixer to feed more bass in the mix as the drums really overwhelm at that range.
This works well, however, as mentioned, the phones are old and the cushioning around the ear flakes of constantly ...I think we can do better. Time for replacements.
So I'm in the market for excellent noise suppression / protection. of course, good low end for the bass, and a decent volume level , good construction quality yada yada, and as always a tight budget, but open for suggestion for bang-for-buck.
Googling reviews only goes so far - I'd like to get some first hand accounts from TBrs
