It's crying out for a slow dark walk if you ask me. I think after '...bad things with you' I would jump an octave for a signature hook.

That is cool stuff. I like the collision of old time and modern that I am hearing. If their other tunes are anywhere near as good as this, you landed a great job!

Thanks! Yeah, I'm really digging what they're doing. When I heard their cover of Portishead's Glory Box on youtube I immediately decided I wanted to be a part of it.

I think I hear exactly what you're saying for the bass part. Good suggestion. Gonna have to sit down with it again this evening.

Well, it appears to work!

I didn't have that 1/4" to 1/8" cable, but I figured a way to hook it up using an existing cable through my mixer and into the mic input of the Macbook Pro. So track 1 in GarageBand is the mp3 they sent me. Track 2 is my bass. I figured out levels and how to monitor what I wanted to hear. Headphones in the MPB headphone out.

I'm afraid your only reward is to listen to my minimalistic scratch track.
