Headphone Tap?

Ok, can't find exactly what I'm looking for info-wise, so I ask all of my bass brethren here on TB -

I have a guitar rig. (I'm sorry for this. ;) ) Anyway, I want to practice without annoying the heck out of my wife. All I have is a half-stack. I have a practice amp I'm borrowing that is also too loud for my wife. I want something to just plug my heaphones into my SS Peavey amp. No cabs. I have found two products that can do this, but everything I can find says that they use cabs at the same time as headphones. I have seen nobody say that they just plug these into headphones only. In all scenarios, the headphones are between an amp and speakers. I want to make sure that I don't blow something if I use only headphones. Here are the two products -

Art Headtap
ART Pro Audio

Rolls PM52
Rolls Corporation - Real Sound - Products PM52 Headphone Tap

Again, I'll use these without a cab. Would this harm my amp? I realize SS amps don't need a load, but also know that headphones have much different impedances than cabs do. Anything you can tell me will help. Thanks!

If i understand correctly you want a pedal that goes out of your solid state peavey preamp into a pedal or something for headphone?

that amt pedal has aux in for jamming with music and a headphone output

i am not sure whether that pedal able to meet your need as i assume you will go

guitar ->peavey solid state preamp out-> headphone pedal?

Well, I'll do whatever the product needs! The two I listed before go in between the speakers and amp, literally like hooking up 2 speakers in series. If this one will let me use headphones with the preamp out, I'm good with that too. That's a bit more than I was wanting to spend, as well...

Personally, I would suggest an Ampeg BA108 practice amp (v1 or v2).
With Ampeg, the driver is disengaged when a headphone is plugged in.
These are non-expensive amps (USD 99.99 new) with (IMO) a great sound.
In this case, it's my opinion you get a simple and cheap solution.

Thanks, but I'm looking for a solution for my guitar rig. And I don't really want another amp. The idea is to have my pedal chain etc. stay in the chain and unaltered. The options I listed before are only $40-60, so they're even cheaper, I just want to make sure they're safe for what I'm planning on doing.

With a lot of guitarcombo's, you can see the driver at the backside.
Also, a lot of times, the wires aren't soldered to the driver but connected with a lockjaw or clip (please excuse my bad english), so you can disconnect (and reconnect) the wires easily without any soldering.
In this case you can plug the headphone in the combo and enjoy playing without being heard.
It's just an idea, perhaps you could post a pic or two of your rig...

It's a half stack, not a combo. So the wire to connect to the driver is a speaker cable. The items I mentioned earlier take a speaker cable, I just want to make sure that the items would make it safe on my amp to ONLY use headphones, or if their impedance would be too different.

Either of the first two boxes you linked to will work. Don't want the speaker to sound? Leave it unplugged. Since your amp is solid-state there's no problem with mis-matched impedance. The speaker can be plugged in but doesn't have to be. Obviously headphones won't have the same frequency response as a guitar speaker, so it will sound more trebly through headphones, just dial back the treble on the amp some and you should be good.
