Heaviest Bass You've Ever Owned?

I used to have one of those clear acrylic Dan Armstrong (aptly named?) basses, but that was when I was a young man (1976), and never would’ve thought to weigh a bass. I bet it was 10-11 pounds.
More recently, my custom Rickenbacker Laredo was just a few ounces under 10 pounds,
and my Viellette-Citron bass is about 9.5 pounds. That’s pretty much become my upper limit these days.
Most of my other basses hew to about 8 pounds, and i have a couple of lightweigts in the 6-7 pound range.
(Like my Rick Cheyenne and Tune wb4f).
The Lightest….and the heaviest.

Fender Marcus Miller 4. Had to be between 12-14lbs. Had to go!

As good as they sounded, this is what spooked me out about those. They were very heavy. Too bad. The sound was excellent.

The heaviest bass I have had I still own - a 1980 Jazz Bass that weighs 12 lbs. There was a bassist on the old Fender Forum that claimed to have a 78 weighing in at 15 lbs. IIRC, he gigged with it regularly.

I also have a Cort GB75JH that is probably the second heaviest bass that I own.

I have three contenders, an Ampeg Big Stud, an early G&L 1K with a mahogany body and a Peavey T-40. I didn't actually "own" the Ampeg since it was on loan to me for a couple of years. I never weighed them but they were all in the way too heavy category.

Past tense, "ever owned".......still own. I'm sorry that I do not have the exact weights but I have a 1983 Carvin LB50 all hard rock solid maple body. It is well over 10 lbs and close to 11.

I also have a Warmoth solid Koa Jazz Bass body with a full 100% rosewood body and with their steel rods in the neck next to the truss rod. Add to that, a Schaller high mass bridge. An easy 11 pounder. But, it is pretty!

Heavy bass are OK as long as we are sitting down!
