My name's Doc (born Keith Herber). I've been a working bass player for about 33 years, and found TalkBass a couple weeks ago while searching for information about amps and cabinets (thinking of a new purchase). I play mostly blues and blues/rock, but do jazz, rock, and country gigs when they present themselves.
I still use the Fender Precision I bought new in early 1973, and a Pfrechner (bad spelling, never can remember how to spell it properly) doublebass from about 1928.
TalkBass is great. Lots of information about all sorts of things, and a lot of nice people.
