It is a pleasure to have this new opportunity to chat with people on Talkbass about learning how to play better. Being back in this forum is a marvelous thing. It allows me to share thoughts about learning the bass in ways that I have learned and researched over many years. If learning well is an interest you have, please chime in and say hello.

Best regards to all from Jeff

Found a couple of photos from last year from your instructional at Cort, there was a long line but I got a few photos:

These are nice photos of my chat at NAMM. It has become more and more difficult to consider NAMM a good place to play. So, I had the idea that anyone who wanted a free bass lesson could have it. It seemed that this was a different way to get to know some of the guys that attended the show. In retrospect, it was a positive idea. A couple of the guys wrote me months later saying that our lessons were very positive for them. This reaffirms my view that playing and learning how to play are two different points of regard and seem to benefit people by regarding them as different.

I played several times in Portugal and loved and remembered your country fondly. I did some gigs in the old part of Lisbon which I heard suffered a big fire. I remember how beautiful it was down by the seaside and especially remember the enthusiastic music fans listening to us play. I would love to return again.

Yes, downtown Lisbon suffered from a huge fire in the eighties. If you ever come back, please consider playing in Porto, we have a great concert Theatre, Invalid Link RemovedMúsica. Thank you for your reply!
