Just thought I'd introduce myself before returning to lurking. I've been a bassist since the fourth grade, and I'm 19 now. I picked up the electric during middle school, and played in jazz and orchestra through almost all of high school. I'm a music education major right now, and I play in the university jazz, orchestra, and wind ensemble programs. I've done some gigging, both paid and unpaid, mostly in a combo setting. I play a squire p bass (sadly), which is mine, but I prefer using a stand up when stylistically appropriate, and when I don't have to haul it anywhere. Well, that's about all I've got to say.
