Hi there, i've been visiting TB on and off for some time, finally got round to joining the community. I've been been playing electric bass for about 3 years and upright for 3/4's of a year. Is there anybody here who teaches DB in the exeter (Devon, England) area? or knows of anyone? I supose i've made a reasonable attempt at teaching myself to play it - managed to find Rufus Reids evolving bassist DVD, Lee rockers DVD as well as one of Ray Brown and Niels Pederson and another of mingus (both at montreux) and Ray Browns bass book. A lot of stuff on electric can be transfered to upright but i guess i will need to find a teacher as soon as i can...
