Help Build My Funk Rock Playlist

Hey, my band has started a Spotify playlist that highlights some of the best, but less heard, funk rock tracks floating around out there. Anyone have any additions to suggest? We don't mind including multiple tracks by the same band, but we're trying to steer clear of the most prominent hits...more back catalog and deep cuts.

edit for clarification: Bands like Fishbone, Chili Peppers, Infectious Grooves, Spin Doctors and wandering into the more alternative side of things, with bands like Primus, Bad Brains and Firehose.

Does no one listen to this stuff anymore? It seems rarer and rarer.

Anyway, click here for the link!

You need some Phish on there.

Ok I will go somewhere that people might give me some flak for it. The first 2 Maroon 5 albums have some pretty funky rock songs. As a matter of fact they rocked quite well but things got a very disappointing direction especially after the keyboard player left. For example:

(super cool guitar envelope solo)

quite possibly their best take

from the second album

From Jamiroquai these rock quite hard if you ask me:

Invalid Link Removed
Jamiroquai - Runaway (Video)

How on earth nobody has mentioned the insane Electric Six?!?!?
Electric Six - Danger! High Voltage (Jack White doing the "female" vocals)
Electric Six - Gay Bar
Electric Six - Dance Commander
Electric Six - Down At McDonaldz
Electric Six It's Showtime

And basically anything from the side projects from Les Claypool(Colonel Claypool's bucket of Bernie brains, Fearless flying frog brigade, Oysterhead, solo stuff, )
Colonel Claypool's Bucket Of Bernie Brains - Buckethead (Buckethead going insane on this one)
Invalid Link Removed (Eenor and Warren Haynes rocking super hard on guitars here)
One Better - Les Claypool

You nailed almost every one of my favorites. I definately still listen to those bands

Talking Heads were my first thought.. someone already got to them.
Same with Stevie Salas.
Clutch did some cool funky stuff.
Eddie Hazels solo disk is worth a listen.
So is some of the Isley Brothers stuff.
On the fringes check out buckethead and praxis.
On the blues side of things check out Storyville and Indigenous.
