Wenge. I love the feel of wenge necks. Wish I could afford a wenge neck for my jazz bass. Wenge!

Padouk sounds interesting, but......
maybe Klingon would be better.

Serious they say padouk sounds like maple, and wenge looks like its rough and uncomfortable.
passive is better in my world, so my 2 cents aint worth much are they?

Wenge is awesome. It sands to delightful satin softness, and the open pore minimises contact, and I'm not sure if it also wicks away perspiration, but no matter how hot it was, my wenge-necked warwicks never got sticky in the back of the neck like Fenders and Washburns I've owned did.
