I have a pair of EAW, SB-180, single 18" Thiel-"ish" style cabinets that are empty. They originally had been equipped with the fairly high end/priced RCF 18" units from Italy. I want to be able to use them occasionally as bass cabs and also as subs for my little sound system. I'm planning on loading them with some Eminence 18"s and not sure which will be the most appropriate speaker model, given the box parameters. I can provide the tech specs for the boxes, but am not well versed in translating that to which speaker would be best. These cabinets will not see very rough/intense service and I don't want to spend big $$$. Any help choosing a speaker would be sincerely appreciated?
