Help clarifying watts/ohms concept

I currently use a Hartke Ha3500 (240 watts into 8 ohms, 350 watts at 4 ohms)

I'm running it at 240 watts into a 4x10 8ohm 400 watt cab.

I'm interested in trying a 200 watt 2x10 8 ohm cab with it.

I'm assuming the wattage would be split between the 2 cabs, sending 175 into each. If this is the case, is 200 watts really enough to cover the wattage, or am I cutting it too close? Also I could not use the 2x10 on its own, since the head would be sending 240 watts into it right?

Thanks for your help.

from what i understand, bass amps don't continually push out maximum wattage, that only occurs during "spikes", i.e. really loud/low notes. i think the set up you mentioned would work fine for normal playing, as long as you don't max out all your knobs and go for broke with volume. the 210 should be fine by itself, again assuming you don't max anything out.
