[Help] Looking for a new amp

I'm looking for a cab and a head. Cab price range 200-300, head price range 400-500.

I need something that would be good for recording and small gigs. I was thinking maybe a 2x10, but I need a cab that has good low frequency support.

Any help appreciated.

I'd say aguilar gs112 USED for about $300. fat mellow sound, some say scooped, it may depend on your guitar/amp.

not sure on head for "recording" but I'd suggest older EDEN WT300 or 400 for about $500 used. potential problem there is tube hiss on the DI, I guess, I don't own one YET! but I've heard some complaints and even eden has a 2004 quieter specs. I borrowed a 1994 WT300 and through my tweeter was pretty hissy (I turned off the tweeter) through the aguilar.
