Help me find anime I enjoy

Fan of older anime here. All time fav for me is Tekkaman Blade. Others you might find interesting include Samurai Troopers (I think the English version was renamed Ronin Warriors...) original Gundam, Gundam Z & ZZ, Kagaku Ninja Tai Gatchaman (butchered in English as Battle of the Planets) and Nadia.

Tekkaman Blade is a great series and i think it might be oniman's cup of tea. It drags here and there but it's absolutely worth a watch if you dig the first few eps. I was honestly not elected the story telling to be as solid as it was considering its age but its fantastic. Also, it has one of the most amazing and emotional endings I've ever seen. There were, I think, 4 OVAs done by a different studio that recaps certain events throughout the main story with a totally different art style, a more mature approach, more detail, and MUCH better animation (and it wasn't at all bad in the first place).

Now that I've said that, the sequel to Tekkaman Blade is easily the biggest disappointment I've come across in all my time watching anime. Holy wow, was it bad. Not sure how you a story like that into a joke but somehow they managed to. Suffice to say, don't watch it if you enjoyed the first series.

I would recommend D Grayman and Monster. Was kinda terrified of Monster since its some kind of psychological horror stuff.

Ergo Proxy is MUCH more my cup of tea. I like the dark animation style. It's reminiscent of an older show, but more polish. The story seems solid so far. Music is awesome. However, between the music, the transition cards, and the super intelligent esoteric one, I feel like I'm watching Death Note again. I think I'll watch this one.

I would recommend Paranoia Agent.

That was certainly dark and weird.. I liked it. It was "different" to say the least.

K-on! - Loved it, have watched the series and movie all the way through about 3 times. It never gets old.

I'm not a big anime fan, but I tried watching some when I was studying Japanese. I went into a store once and randomly picked something and I noticed a girl with a 4003 and a vespa. Two things that I loved. I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but FLCL or Furi Kuri was pretty entertaining.
