Help Me Pick a 1x12!

Hey Team Amp aka The A-team
I'm going to get a 1x12 to go with my Genzbenz Neopak and would love some opinions and advice re any of these. I have searched which is where most of my info comes from. I have made this table here which shows my options if there is anything wrong or any opinions on any of them please don't hold back.

Oh and don't worry about the prices they are Aussie and some include shipping and some don't and some are RP and others are not and some are for new and others are not. Just the lowest prices I can find on each.
Also who knows the Ohm-age of the PS112?

I use 2 Aguilar GS112's for my large rig. They're quite the powerhouse with a full low end and a tight response in the upper levels. I only use one for my church band and it just fills the sanctuary. Plus; they're easy to carry if your gig is on the second story. You can find them for under $500 each if you look. I got one for $380 from eBay and the other for $425 from a local merchant. Both used and still going strong.

I have heard great things about Bergantino, but not my experience, just word of mouth.

thats one of the problems im finding. I need this cab to do a lot and sound really full and the problem is that a lot of them seem to do some parts of the spectrum really well but not so much others? But i will try to check out the bergs thanks for the suggestion,
i'm especially interested in the Epifani UL vs Berg Vs EA comparison if anyone has A/B'ed these I'd love to hear from them

In that case the Epi could be good - sposed to be one of the 'bigger' sounding 112s but with more mids than the Aguilar...

I have the BMS (HT112\EX112) - IMHO Bergs are among the sweetest sounding cabs out there. The mids and highs are incredible, but they are not full sounding cabs at all - the depth simply isn't there. If you use a wider sounding head, the combo works pretty well, but you may be disappointed using a mid-voiced head. I had an SWR and moved to Thunderfunk and though overall sound quality was much improved, I do miss the lower end. I'm moving to a larger Berg cab when I can.

By comparison, I found the Epi UL112 to have more depth and the upper mids to be more open sounding, bringing out a really nice growl from the jazz bass I was trying through it. The highs were pretty nice as well. Though it wasn't as sweet sounding as the Bergs, that tone was really infectious.

If you need 2 cabs eventually and budget is an issue than I would go for the GS112's. I bought one at a time and kept and eye out for a good deal. Found one here from a local and the other on craig's list. Total cost for both was $520.00

Those prices are outrageous. I am shocked.
IMO, dont support that inflated markup.

If you have the skills at all, use the references on this and other websites to build your own.

If you dont, support a local builder and have one made.

Or buy used.

Just one man's opinion.

Just went shopping for my first cab (used combos all this while). Got the Aguilar GS112, had that flexible, sizzly sound that I like. It is a bit more bulky than the Eden 112 which I compared, though.

Can't really give a poll vote as I've not tried the other cabs mentioned (though I was considering all of them). Heard good things about the Bergantinos as well. Main reason for not getting those is that I'm in Perth, West Australia and it costs too much (around $100 which is crazy!) to ship one over (no one sells Bergs, Epi's & EA in Perth). So if you live on the eastern side, lucky you. There's always more options there.

My experience with these cabs is quite limited, but given that the Neopak puts out a relatively modest 350 watts @ 4 ohms (my Walkabout does 300 @4), do these particular Bergs make sense? I've heard the HT series is on the power-hungry side, but I could have the wrong impression.:hmm:

I can't vote as my current favorite (and it took me a while to realize this) is the Gallien-Krueger Neo 112.

Very sweet sounding cab. Round, not too scooped, not sterile, just very musical and very nice low B replication. Less scooped than the Aguilar GS112, which is neither good nor bad depending on your playing style.

At the price one can be acquired for, you're in good shape. Let's say anywhere between $300-400 used. I got mine for $300 shipped.

Mine is coming in about a week.

My Epi UL2-112 is the clearest, roundest btq 112 I've heard (which includes Eden112xlt, EA Wizzy and Schroeder). The Schroeder is louder and better suited to cut through in a rock setting IMO, but not as pleasing to my ear. The Epi is very light and sounds faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat.
