Help me Rename my Band

My standard reply to these threads:

"Named by Strangers"

That one will get picked up sooner or later, grab it now!

Or, if you're into acronyms which, although difficult, can actually be pronounced:

TUTCUWOONSWAABOIS

Stands for "Too Uncreative To Come Up With Our Own Name So We Asked A Bunch Of Internet Strangers"

Not easily conveyed to new fans but guaranteed to have web URL and FB page available...

How about "Dirty Lie"

I agree. Without meaning too Mellowiman renamed his band.:) I think that would be a great band name and it is close enough to the original that the bands fans would be able to remember even if they are mostly a bunch of drunken idiots.:D

Slow down and think this one over, Mellowinman, because this is actually not bad.

Hi,

A few right off the top of my head...

iRock
Riding Fences
Toejam Football
Bark Brothers
Prom Kings
Sonic Eloquence
The Knuckles
Four Limerick Oysters
Five Corpulent Porpises
The Pickups

I was in a project called "The Wild Cards" for a little while. We're not using that any more.

Depending on what you are trying to convey about the band, words like "lie" and "dirty" may have too much negative connotation. But I guess "Dirty Lie" doesn't suck too bad. ;)

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

Hi,

Is this a Zappa reference, or was Zappa referencing something else that you're also referencing?

The best I can tell, it's copy from a radio announcer audition used in the 1940s. It starts "One hen, two ducks, three squawking geese...". I'm sure you can find more info by Google-ing.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff
