Help my date this Peavey 1x15'' cabinet.

Greetings kind people,
I just acquired a Peavey 1x15'' cabinet that I would like to find out some more information about. On the back it says MODEL - 115 BASS ENCLOSURE. Looks like its equiped with a Scorpion speaker. The front grill might not be it's original ( don't know the truth, it just feels that way to me). Pictures below:

What difference does it make? It appears to be a low-end box, even by Peavey standards. Scorpion drivers weren't exactly high-end...bitchin' name, aside. And at least the frame is cast rather than stamped. Looks like it would work, after a fashion. What does knowing when it was made tell you?

Edit: You may be right about the grill not being original, or maybe it's just modified--the vertical aluminum grill trim appears to be narrower than the other Peavey stuff of the era.
