Help, my G string is slipping

I have a problem, maybe you guys can help me. I just put new strings on my Sterling, but the G string keeps slipping off out of the tuning post (out of that hole in the middle). Know anything that could fix that? They're stainless steel strings. I've tried bending the end so that it's doubled in the hole. That didn't work either. And it's not too short, cause I am getting three wraps around the post.

I have this problem sometimes with my Fenders.

Try going over the first loop with the second loop when winding. This should keep it in place, but if you look at it closely, it may seem like you did a sloppy winding job (it won’t look nice and even)

maybe your compensated nut likes the feel of your g string sliding over it...i dunno, bro ;)

:hiding:

seriously, though, with three wraps around the tuning peg and the string end doubled up and inserted into the peg, i have no idea why it would slipping unless there's something physically wrong with the string...broken core, maybe?
