Hi all, wonder if any can help ,my son has just got a variax bass,I brought him a an pedal to go with it, but when we connected up all were getting is a pulsing sound from amp.any ideas?
Trouble shooting; as I usually don't have a lot of trouble I'll give it a try...
If the noise is coming out of the speaker you probably got the input/output part right......are you going through an fx loop...if so plug the pedal directly to the input. If the Pedal can be heard with effect through the amp and your hearing the pulsing sound it could be a grounding issue try shoes on or off, sometimes your hand keeping contact with the pup will lessen a humming sound finally if in a bassment near breakers or fuses?? Try rotating your body position sometimes you'll find a sweet spot where the noise subsides..... Not really am effects guy but that's a couple of the things that I have picked up through the years.
