help please

Alrighty well I don't know where to start so...
I'm trying to make my own bass.
and i plan to start with the neck but the only thing I'm having a problem with is finding where to get truss rods. Like i tried guitar center and they didn't have any. Shopping on the internet is out of the question being as that I'm only 16 and my parents are afraid that their number will get stolen. But any and all help is appreciated.
I live in the Rochester, New York area so if you know anyplace around there it would be swell.

you could always have your parents call StewMac or Luthier's Mercantile to place an order ... I'm sure they've placed a CC order over the phone before

I've never seen a trussrod for sale at a guitar store, since it's not something that would be sold within a reasonable amount of time

Money order, check out places that take money order. When I was younger without a credit card I would always get money orders, you can get em anywhere, even walmart i think.
