I would have liked it quite a bit had the builder gotten it straight. Agree, on the color, too, kind of a burgundy / wine.

I think there's a reason the E string is missing, it looks like it would have been nearly off the fretboard if it was centered on the pickup pole. As it is it looks like the G string nearly runs off the board on the other side. This may be the worst copy of a great bass I've ever seen. I wouldn't take it for free!

I don't think he's fooling anyone, but I agree. Hopefully it's a one-off.

This one is definitely off, no doubt about that! Let's hope the builder did better next time or gave up. Sad, it's nice wood, nice color, and he came kinda close (from a distance). Devil's in the details, as they say.

Very interesting...
I mailed Mica from Alembic about this bass and she thinks it can be a highly modified Epic.
Serial number checks out to be a short scale Epic sold in the Philippines, body would have been Mahogany with Birds eye Maple top...
So according to Mica it can be an original neck with replaced body (and electronics/hardware)
She wonders what happened to this poor guy... :crying:

Oh, now that would just be sad. :( But if so, yeah, the neck alone is worth the price. Toss the rest and start over, perhaps.
