Double Bass Help with Left Shoulder Fatigue due to vibrato

Yeah I do have the same problem when standing. Its not really a posture per se thing. I don't really slouch when sitting and the bass is fully supported by my legs. Its purely a problem with my arm/shoulder motion I believe. I used to stand with a rabbath end-pin. Its easier to vibrate on that thing, but its because of the bass angle: lower and closer, making the first position feel like fourth position does normally.

You could try sitting with a rabbath endpin or bent endpin. There are shortened versions of these for sitting, I plan to try this for chronic backpain while sitting (i believe to be helpful with angles of my right arm) very soon, specifically a laborie. Give it a shot if your bass is drilled out and you have an endpin.
