So I got these great MIDI trigger pedals and a simple M-Audio Midisport Uno to connect it to my laptop. Now here's where I need help...what software to use? I play bass and want to trigger various song bits on my computer. What good software can you recommend for recording, editing, saving, and playing/triggering with the pedals live? This is my first jump into MIDI and I know there are some bass players out there who use these pedals too.
The other thing I'm looking into is the Roland SP-555 sampler. I don't want a keyboard and if my laptop can't handle this kind of stuff has anyone had any experience with this product? I know it's made mostly for DJ's to sample on the fly but if you know of a great piece of hardware that comes with the software that samples and edits and triggers with these pedals well please let me know!
