Help with wiring ideas

Per PM,

Basically, I'm thinking VOL Pot

ON/OFF Neckpup
ON/OFF Bridge.

Parallel only

Is this possible?, or

ON/Off Neck
On/Off Bridge
series/parallel


I have no use for a tone knob, a little use for a volume though it may be handy

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, want to go as direct to the jack as I can without any pots/capacitors in the chain.

Without a tone pot or cap, its gonna be bright with no way to roll off.

What do you guys think? Will this work per the PM?

Whoa man...you totally rock....thanks....and it's now here for the masses....

I do all mo toning on the amp, or eq....so I want to send as much signal as I can...

I am also a keys player, and in my early day (learning) all the engineers told me to turn all my volumes to 10....they'll work on it at their end....so I apply this theory to my bass production, seems to be working so far, maybe this will be even better.

Thanks, but let's get some feedback before you start clipping wires and stuff. I'm not 100% sure it will work without benching it.

yeah it works, but if it is in series you have to have both pickups on otherwise there will be no output. everything else is cool

you said you want little in the way of the signal. you could get the pots that lock in the on position. this way you could have volume that you can bypass fully, and tone that you can bypass fully. if you want anyways

Thanks for the comfirmation. I think the No-load pot is a great idea, too.

He's right, you have no pickup choices when in Series mode with that wiring diagram. If you don't need Bridge Only in Series mode, I'd go with the Jaguar schematic, and use Push/Pull pots for Volume and Tone as 2 of the switches.

I don't really need p/up options in series...I thought that was the whole point of series....one pup into the other pup....

So...if this Wiring Diagram works, I like it so far....

yeah its cool, you just have to make sure the switch is in parallel mode for a single pickup

this diagram is much simple than the jag diagram too, so if you want simplicity in wiring that works better
