The cioks DC7 or eventide cioks should be added to this list. FWIW, I own a ciokolate and a DC7 and although the ciokolate is super comprehensive, it is also a bit confusing. I ended up frying a pedal by accidentally plugging something in wrong. The DC7 is laid out so much simpler and is incredible. So much power available in so many computations.

I know I jump in every thread to sing its praises...Ive just never been so excited by a power supply.
 
Follow up.... I bought a glowplug and finally put it on my pedalboard...and then removed it. I got nothing but low gain distortion from it regardless of what I did with the knobs. I assume I’ve done something wrong in powering it.

Power chain: voodoo labs pedal power 2 > standard barrel power cable > Xotic 15/18v converter set to 15v > polarity reverse adapter > Glowplug.

I have the Eden near the end of my pedal chain. What am I doing wrong? I bought the pedal from a fellow TBer who had guide results with it, even trying other 12AX7 tubes, all of which came with my purchase.

for all the fuss to power the thing, my patience is short to troubleshoot it before I sell the Eden. Suggestions? One thing I will try tomorrow is the Eden supplied wall wart, but it’s design won’t allow it to fit the AC socket on the Voodoo Labs, as thats mounted under my pedalboard, so the Eden wall wart is not a viable fix. Grrr.

I was able to fit mine with the Eden adaptor using a 1' 3-prong extension cord I got at Dollar store, which I mounted under my board with Double Lock, and that works fine. I don't alway have my GlowPlug on my board but when I do it is towards the middle of the chain, after the Comp and before the HPF and Pre/DI. Works fine and has tonality that other pedals don't.

That should read "3-outlet" not prong
 
I just wanted to drop into this thread to say thanks. One of my bands switched to in ear monitors and the Glow Plug ended up playing a part in my switch to ampless.

I’ve been running it with a VooDoo 2 Plus at 18V DC via a voltage doubler cable fed from the high current outputs, then with a reverse polarity cable. Works great!

I also daisy chain in my Empress Compressor, Fulltone Bassdrive, and Broughton Fliptop all off the same 18V line prior to the Glow Plug polarity flip cable.

The 15VDC requirement on Eden pedals is a marketing mess up. I have ran my WTDI on 18VDC for years despite its labeling of 15V AC/DC. I think they’d be more popular if they just took into consideration how people use pedalboards more and more.

The 15v thing is a mess up, I agree. The story goes that Dave Nordschow decided - just before he left - to put the DI section from the WT amp into a pedal format, and that DI runs on 15v. The pedal wasn't really designed to be part of pedalboards, or even really as a separate unit; the early marketing was all about how it fits easily in a gigbag as a spare backup in case your amp fails. Dave went for 15v in the amp (and consequently the pedal version) because it's - he reckons - the quietest voltage, and I have to agree the WTDI is very quiet.

Then Dave sold Eden, new owners saw the uptrend in bass pedals and decided to jump on that bandwagon. Naturally, they used the components they already had in production - the chassis and the power supplies. Hence all their pedals being 15v.

They tried to be simple with their own internal logistics, and ended up cocking up the marketability of the end product.
The pedals are actually quite nice (apart from the astroflange, which is just too subtle), but that power requirement messes up the saleability of the whole range.

For the google-fu users who will one day find this thread: I got a reply via Facebook from the Eden factory regarding the power requirements of the Glowplug pedal:

"Hi, a quick update: as the Glowplug is an end of line product, our team are checking with our factory who produced Glowplug. We will be in touch as soon as we have an update for you! Many thanks, Eden Amplification.
