Henman-Bevilacqua B4 Purchase

I have an opportunity to pick up a brand new B4 bass with the really cool aluminum hard case for what is really less than 1/2 of the MSRP. I have read just about everything I can find on the bass several times over, watched Ed's You Tube review about 4 times and I'm really thinking that this is a good purchase. I'm a little worried about the use of EMG's but even Ed felt that Scotty choice of them was a decent one and I know I could always change them later. Just wanted to reach out to all the experts here and see if there were any NEW thoughts on this bass that have not already been said. Feel free to shoot me down and help me not make a mistake if that's where I'm headed. Just for a grounding I'm a 30+ year semi-pro player and right now my two main basses are a F-Bass BN5 and a Roscoe SKB 3005 both fretted, I'm a 90% finger style player and pure clean tone is key to me.

Thanks in advance for any and all thoughts...

Come on guys, the thread titled "If your bass was a fruit" gets dozens of responses but this one gets nothing...?
That one's a little easier to answer for most.:D I'm guessing the number of TBers who have had the opportunity to try a Hen-Bev is very very low. Send a PM to Jauqo III-X, I know he has or had one.
