Here Come The Mummies

This is not my strong suit and Ive tried a few times but cant seem to get the bass line in Funky Little Baby. Can anyone help a brother out?

I've decided to try it.
Overall (in my opinion), it's not a difficult bass pattern but when played by an excellent and very energetic bass player :bassist: :hyper: , it gets "complicated" :confused:because of those slides/glisses, extra ghost notes, etc...

Also, I've heard some notes that could be played on the 5-stringer, like sliding from D or D# to low (my open string) E, or using B on the B string.
My transcription is for the 4-string bass. :(

About those numerous grace(!) notes that I(!) heard.

I would say, leave them out :cautious: until (or maybe, never) you feel comfortable with that bass-line. They don't change the bass groove. The bass player had enough technique, knowledge, and happy energy to be very "playfull" with all those slides.

I've used my TAB - you can change them.
Let's say, in order to "rationalize" those slides, in Bar 17 I adapted my TAB to fit them.
Anyway, I've transcribed the way I(!) heard it. There were some slides that I could not figure out the exact notes. :help:

Also, I could not properly interpret with Guitar Pro a lot of slides/glisses from E (the open string) up, like in Bar 3 and in many more instances; therefore, I've left them out.

P.S. I did not incorporated those bass-free bars in order to save sheet area.

In addition, after a few bars, I've stopped marking all those slides - the sheet looks "cleaner".

Please remember, it's only My Ears that heard those notes. :blackeye: The REAL bass-line could be very different!:cautious: :rollno:
Proceed with caution.

Im gonna give this a run through in awhile.

I would try to properly articulate the main "template" of the bass groove.
Here is my fingering for it.
The first note (open E) lasts one 8th note, than I mute the sound with my left hand (four fingers) on the second 8th note.
Next, I mute/tap the strings (along with the snare drum) with my right hand - on the third 8th note and start the bass passage with my first right hand finger.
In Bar 3, instead of muting strings, I slide with my 4th finger from F# to B on the E string. Ending the slide on B (the 7th fret), gives me an excellent position to start the next bass run/passage with my 1st finger.

Here is that sound clip at 50BPM.
