I would be delighted if we'd start seeing some Peavey throwbacks coming out.
But, alas, I think Peavey is nothing but a memory now...
For me the 80s was all about Denim aftershave, talc and the great Japanese basses! Oh, and Labatts lager!
You could also throw this one in, even though it's apparently a limited model for MF/GC....
My main basses in the 80s were a Fender Jazz, an Aria SB1000 and a Fretless Wal Pro. The Jazz is the only one I don't still have...
In all honesty, I feel like this was already well in the works through the 2010's. The decade certainly had it's influence from the 80's in a quite a few aspects IMHO. However, my expectation of that influence fading once into the 2020's doesn't seem to be the case at all.. I guess shoot then, bring em' all back! I've already started collecting 80's basses!!

I was alive and playing bass in the 80’s. Fender wasn’t what bassists (or guitarists) were talking about in the 80’s - they were old news and out of touch with what the market wanted. Somehow, by staying in place, the market came back to them - they’re very lucky that that happened.

Very true, to my earlier point Japanese basses took a reasonable chuck of that Fender market. I remember Musicman Stingrays, Guilds, Steinberger, Arias being more popular back in the mid 80s.
Agreed! They should bring back the charvel hockey stick! But even they eventually do copy the Charvel 3B, the OG 1988 can’t be topped.

. I had the Westone until the end of the 80s. What a workhorse that was. Unlike some of the crappy amps I had (aka Carlsbro) it never let me down.
