I love the black one. I always loved look of bound fingerboard, of fancy inlays, and I really like the body shape for a comfort point of view. I could play that all day. I actually prefer them not too rounded on the bottom for when playing while sitting - it's less like a point on your leg and the mass is spread out more when it's flatter like that body. The last one looks plank-like... one of the 3 reasons I sold my #1 bass a couple years ago... I really prefer a nicely contoured body to something uncomfortable if I'm going to play it all the time.

I was literally thinking the same thing yesterday. The 80’s are back in full force it seems. Mullets, jean jackets, and bright colored guitars.

2 of those 3 in full force in DC last week.

Yay! Please revive the era when electric basses were being replaced by synth bass.

Fender should fully commit to this 80's revival, and reissue the Chroma Polaris.

Then we can have a 90's revival, and pick up all those great 70's, and 80's Bass guitars, and synths for pennies on the pound.

I'm all for this!

haha, yeah I never cared much for frets this bad boy served me well for many years, the neck is crazy slim front-to-back. Not my preference, but for people who like that kind of thing, these MiJ unlined fretless necks are sought after, apparently.
