Here comes the 80's...

haha, yeah I never cared much for frets this bad boy served me well for many years, the neck is crazy slim front-to-back. Not my preference, but for people who like that kind of thing, these MiJ unlined fretless necks are sought after, apparently.

In the last 3 years I acquired 2 basses with speed bumps. Took a while to adapt, I've been fretless since 2000.

An 80’s style Yamaha BB would be the only bass from the 80’s I want to hear or see make a comeback .

One of the nicest basses I've owned was an old BB300. Great sounding passive pickup. Same colour as this one. I kinda ruined it - I so badly wanted to be Steve Harris so I fashioned a mirror pickguard for it. The pickguard job was quite well done, but didn't suit the bass at all!!!!
