I’m new to the forum and want to introduce myself..I’m 36yo from FL and I am new to bass guitar. I just ordered a squier affinity pj bass. I have a 6 string electric and I know basic open major and minor chords and I can play power chords up and down the neck..so I think those skills will transfer over to bass a little easier than some beginners cause I am teaching myself how to play. I’m into learning mostly punk music but I do have an appreciation for all genres and styles of playing..looking forward to contributing and getting to know everyone….
