I've been a guitar player for about 25 years now and after getting into home recording a few years ago, bought myself an inexpensive bass to lay down my own bass tracks. Now I can't put it down - I guess I have finally turned to the darkside. I found this site while looking for information on building my own bass. My oldest son and I have started a bass project - 4 string, neck through, multi-laminate body. I'm sure we will have a lot of questions. Thanks for having me.

Welcome from another FL bassist. I moved over from being primarily a six stringer about 4 years ago, after about 25 years on guitar just as you mention. Seems we have a bit in common.
I checked to see where you are on the gulf, but you didn't put much in your profile. It's worth taking the time to fill that in, helps folks get to know you, they can then give you info and/or advice that might be more in line with your background and current setup.
