HH VS 115
I had an old Aussie Eminar PA head. Had 6 6CA7 power tubes, about 150wI was never 100% happy with any amps available at the time. Mid to late 70s , any name valve amps in Sydney , Australia , were incredibly expensive and hard to get. In fact I don't remember seeing a Marshall stack in any Sydney shops. ( Melbourne was the place probably , 12 hour drive )There were twin reverbs and 100 watt Bassmans , that's all. Any good sounding bass amps had insufficient volume. We had quad boxes and 100 watt amps daisy chained.
That brings back memories.
Strauss from Melbourne at the time made a 60w bass amp that sounded beautiful & different to me. After hearing one at a gig I rushed out and bought one.
They just weren't distributed in the US very well, if at all, but were on display in albums and videos by The Buzzcocks, T-Rex, Pink Floyd, Bauhaus, Dr. Feelgood, Bebop Deluxe, and others…I wasn't gigging back then, but I'm wondering how is it that I never heard of this brand.
