Hiflyer Basses

Has anyone played both the old Univox Hiflyer and the new Eastwood reproduction? I really like the Eastwood, but the neck is too thick and chunky for me. Those old Univox come up quite frequently on Ebay (and affordable, yet, too) and I was wondering if the necks on those are narrower. Anyone?

Thanks.

(Yes, I know the original Mosrites that the Hiflyer was based on have SUPER narrow necks, but they're are a bit pricey these days...now that's the reissue/reproduction I'm waiting for.)

My first bass was a Univox Hiflyer back in the early 70's. I loved that little sucker. It had a narrow and slim neck that was a breeze to play (plus it's short scale). My next bass was a P and I remember I had a hard time adjusting to it's baseball bat neck.
