High action? On my uprights - check. You can shoot an arrow off my 7/8th Panormo. On my electric basses - nope. I like 'em easy to play for marathon 4 and 5 set cover shows.

I like low action and high tension strings.
You can't play fast and fluid with high action.
It never stopped Al DiMeola. He played with very high action, and he was fairly fast and fluid
