High DCR Reading Cause..

What would cause a pickup to have an exceptionally high DC reading? Like North of 100k?

What would cause a pickup to have an exceptionally high DC reading? Like North of 100k?

The coil is broken internally somewhere. It could be a bad solder joint where the lead attaches to the terminal, or a break where the coil wire attaches to the terminal, or a break somewhere in the coil.
