Hilarious bass review

i gather from that review that it is just a really awsome bass. just really awsome. it's an awsome bass. if you ever get the chance, get one, cuz it's really awsome.

i thought a review would discuss high and low points of the bass... but whatever... i don't have anything that expensive, and i will probably never own a bass like that. mostly because i loooove spector euros... so... yea. at least he loves playing bass. except unplugged. he hates when people play unplugged... well... i guess that's pretty awsome, actually. just like the bass. people playing unplugged is awsome just like the bass is awsome. it's just an awsome bass.

just awsome.

He's an decent player at least. There MAY be some jealousy here that some people can afford really high end gear without knowing a ton about it or being a ridiculously good player. I will probably never spend thousands of dollars on a bass. I sure didn't in college!!! But whatever, some people can and do.

That said, there is some REALLY funny stuff in there.
"it's really easy to clean this bass!!"

what is it, a self-cleaning oven?!?!

Gentlemen....FORGET ABOUT HIS PLAYING TALENT FOR A MOMENT ----

this thread was started out of a little humor, and naturally 30 posts in, it has become a war between "haha funny", and "leave the kid alone don't you remember what it was like when you first started" junk.

well when any of you old guys were 16, got your license and used/new car whatever...noone had to tell you where the gas filler door was??

or did you have to ask you parents "which one of these pedals makes you stop"? :rollno:

the humor that some of you are NOT seeing here is not the kids playing ability, or his love for Flea or his new bass or who bought it.

BUT the kid is not the sharpest pencil in the pack, which IS just TOO funny and the whole reason I think the OP put it here......

I think he's a decent player, lord knows I can't cop Flea riffs to save my life. He's a kid, and judging by the shell necklace, probably stoned. It was kinda humorous to listen to him bumble through the review, but I enjoyed listening to him play more.

This is exactly why I would never dream of posting videos of my playing on Youtube. You guys are relentless!;)

There are a bunch of me playing with a blues band, but there is no way in hell I would point any of you to them!:scowl:

After reading the comments, I would probably need therapy for years and quit playing bass alltogether!

great post.

i gotta say... i have no problem with someone owning expensive gear. and i understand that kids (i was one once) don't always know everything about their gear. but to not know where the volume knob is? better yet, to say there are three knobs and one is treble, and if this one is mid then this one is bass? a bass with no volume? there was some funny stuff in there. personally, i think even at that age, i couldn't have posted something like that. but i'm glad he did. :D

I don't get it, what's your point?
Are we "old guys" the baddies or the goodies? Just asking

I can't watch the video at work (dying to see it though), but I'll weigh in on the subsequent posts. I don't begrudge a trust fund spending ding dong or a kid who worked forever for something he knows jack about or whatever the real story is. I just think that if you put it on you tube and look like an ass, you deserve to be laughed at, if for no other reason than having the audacity to believe it was cool to do so.

Nice bass, that bass looks and sounds excellent.
I've never been a Flea or Modulous fan but I see a work of art when i see one.
Good for this kid to save up and purchase something that he may have for the rest of his life.
Since it is a review I will judge it squarely upon that... and unfortunately he did a horrible job of explaining why he bought this particular bass instead of any others.
I never played a Flea bass, but i know there are specific specs that make it a flea bss and not a Q bass.
I know my basses inside and out and given the proper time this kid will as well.
I do think that bass is an outstandingly nice piece of art.
Good for him, but what a stinker of a bass review

I guess a little of both from looking at some of the posts...

and ya I am part of the "over 25" guys myself, and "over 35"..."and over 45"... :D

I just was pointing out not to have this thread turn into a "holyHell does that kid suck" thread, since the OP was laughing at his "unique" description of his new toy.
