HEY YEAH!! I should do that!
If that guy can build cheap basses and sell them for tons of money I'm in the wrong business LOL!!!
:hyper::hyper::hyper::hyper::hiding:

I've thought about buying parts and such but for fun and learn how to put a bass or guitar together. This guy cracks me up, he can't get his story right. The "never been played" line is gold. The body screams plywood....and when did Fender use plywood? On Squier? Okay. Sure. So far in my short experience with all things bass, I haven't seen a plywood Fender that was made 5 min down the street at the Corona shop.

Nom Nom Nom. Sips coke. Belch! Anybody want some? Passes bag.

I know, right? Is this thread the most watchable thing on TB or what? This is like reality TV only tons more entertaining.

Asperger's Syndrome - the bad version.

That's the catch, though. I'm wondering if I should feel guilty for laughing as much as I am. Is this guy a crook or an insane person?

Going back to the topic at hand, I will say that I always get a kick out of some things people try to sell on eBay, Craigslist or online in general. The best is how they try to pass stuff off as being what it really is when it is no where close and also try to sell it at new or outrageous prices. With all the chop shop basses and fakes out there it is really hard to know if you are getting exactly 100% of what it claims to be...or should be. Just my two cents.

I love this paragraph. It just shows there is some bad acid floating around still...

"Here is a nice touch... I don't know how I achieved it, I build, modify, customize, refurbish so many guitars it's hard to keep track. But when looking in my Neck plate file, I found this Chrome neck plate with the serial numbers "54107" The plate is in New condition as well. As a machinist and tool and die person of years gone by, we could stamp S/N or part numbers by hand, they always were not perfectly straight.. These numbers on the nect plate are, only a power press can stamp them on that way. The kind you find at the manufacturer who made it. So it is possible this plate is Authentic and Original.. The only way to find out is through Fender. This serial number dates to 1960. Link Removed almost to the bottom of page. I did this in memory of my 1961 Fender P Bass I owned when I was just 11 years old and was in my first band named the ENAMONS, That's no name spelt backwards, then when we became Hippies we changed it to The Brotherhood. NO, Not the famous Brotherhood of Man, back in that day. "Comon People" smile on your brother, got to tell everybody that we love one another right now".
