So, anyone planning on going to this tomorrow evening?

Love to hear reviews of it - it seems like it's a one-night-only screening - which is a pretty cool idea but I do hope it gets some sort of general release.

I went. There were a few good scenes, but as a overall piece of film-making, I didn't like it. Even at around 90 mins, it felt long. And the studio performance scenes didn't add anything to the movie.

Netflix has it listed for a August 1st DVD release.

I went and saw it. I really enjoyed it, and will probably buy it when it's available for purchase. Would have liked less in-movie performances and more business-oriented advice, but it was still cool.

Life is too short to deal with that crap.
I’ve been playing with FUEL for the last 2 years, and it’s an entirely different situation. Brett Scallions (Fuel’s singer/leader) is a great guy, who does his best to take care of his guys. There is virtually zero drama, and we all get along.

Watched the film today & enjoyed it.
It was nice that they spent so much time with Rudy Sarzo, but sad about Randy. Rudy said it was the worst thing that ever happened to him.

I watched this last night and found it very interesting. I've been making my way through the "concert movies" section of Netflix lately.

The part where Trent Reznor said to Richard Patrick "go write and sing your own songs if you want the real money", him doing just that and treating Phil Buckman the same way pretty much summarized the biz at that level.

Watched it last night and really enjoyed it, albeit Billy Joel comes across as a real douche and Richard Patrick as somewhat creepy, to the brink of disturbing. If you've been in that situation yourself, why would you then in turn do the same thing to someone else? Seems almost sadistic to me.

Anyway, on the hole I thought it was interesting and entertaining.

Watched it yesterday. I had a hunch that solo artist need them but in the end, they don't matter, it could be anybody else and it wouldn't change anything.

It is the sad reallity, unless you are in a band, you worth nothing and Billy Joel pretty much showed it quite well.

Watched it last night. A good reminder that no matter which part/parts of the sideman spectrum you inhabit, it's pretty much the same deal everywhere. That Filter guy (not the bassist) came across as quite a piece of work.
