Ooohh, that one hit close to home, well maybe not the gifted part, or the home studio that is just a computer loaded with cubasis that I let our engineer run remotely. And yes family and relocations put a dent into gigging for a while…. LOL!!

But I have toured, still gig, played in a band for more than 20,000 people in one sitting, televised nationally (ok that one I was in marching band in high school playing a NFL halftime show back when they actually televised them), and yes I have material released available on the internet and it’s being played in 43 countries.

Let’s see…
  • Pro level gear - nope! semi-pro at best except for a few basses.
  • Amateur understanding of it - nope! what I do have I know inside out for the most part.
  • Scathing opinion of everyone else’s music - nope again. I’m more likely to feel a sense of humility rather than contempt when I encounter other people’s creative works.
  • Cellphone that can’t be put down - nope. I can’t stand the things. If I’m home I don’t even carry mine in my pocket.
  • Cat - nope. At least not since the early 90s. We’ve got two dogs. That’s enough.
However that chart @Winslow posted is pretty much dead on.

No cat at the moment, but about ready to get one again, once the holes in the outer wall are patched finally - getting cold BRRR!

I have an IMDB credit from when I used to play and record a lot more but my collection today is about 3 times the size it was when I was actually playing outside of my home office, and I'm objectively a much better bass player today than I was for the 20 years that I actually gigged. Also I'm allergic to cats.

Right? I had this in my cart, ready to checkout, when I saw that the cat wasn't included! I mean, it's kinda useless without the cat. Now I have to go over-research which cat to buy in order to complete the look. I really prefer these things to be bundled.
You’re joking right? I’d totally rather leave the cat out and choose my own. Not sound all old pro here but I used to own a Manx. That’s like the Broughton Audio of Cat fanciers. And yes. I’ll take years to pick just the right one and send it back anyway. It’s all good. Like pedals there’s no shortage of cats.
