Hofner-(not just Beatle Basses)-Group Part 2

Yeah the cases are super nice. I’m fine with the weight because these things are fully hollow instruments and fragile at that. I thought about the gig bag option but I don’t know if one that’s really nice (like a mono or something). Anyone have suggestions for gig bag for the club bass?
+++++1 on that. I was about to buy a G&L Fallout (short scale bass) bag and hope for the best. Or a Fender shortie bag. They are both around $60. I have an Access bag that I don't really use that I was going to buy some interior pads for. But with shipping, tax etc. it came to over $70! For a little more or less I should be able to get a nice bag. Looking forward to suggestions.
yeah I low balled a seller on reverb and got the hard shell case new for 90 bucks so I’m kinda hesitant to downgrade in protection. It ain’t that heavy. My amps are more beastly.
I like a hard shell case. But if I were to get a bag, I'd be looking at this:

I bought this model Artist bass a few months ago. I've owned several German made Hofners over 50 + years, and I must say I'm absolutely delighted with it. They are a wonderful addition to the 500/1 line of genuine German made basses, and a great value.

Is the artist line new? Seems they are made in Japan. Are they above contemporary in quality?
Hofner's Artist Series are made in Germany. Quality and Craftsmanship is identical to the Premium Series but they use different materials which helps lower the cost.

Last weekend I bought the left Höfner HS515 classical guitar of an old lady.
She said it used to belong to her aunt and was from the sixties.
I guess it's early seventies. Oiled the fretboard and gave it new strings.
Placed the photo because it's "not just Beatle Basses".
I wrote to Hofner about the instrument, and what differences there were between it and the German made V 63. They answered that it was the finish. A so called poly finish as opposed to a Nitro finish. I can't see or tell any other difference, either. They are German made, not Japanese. And, yes, they are above Contemporary series.

Be wary. I just the saw Artist bass I posted earlier also selling from Japan. So the one in Canada might be fake.
It was a set neck bass I shipped but this is a good idea as long as a HSC is not included in the sale. I think the kicker was a new box, packing materials and insurance.
No worries...it gave me a bag to look for in the US. I'll keep checking. Maybe the Fender or G&L shortie bag will be fine.
Just ordered my first Höfner bass, and Ignition Club SE. Added a set of Labella flatwounds to the order. Can't wait!
