Ooops. I said that after looking at just the first picture. After looking at all the pics, I retract my statement.

I don't hate it. Whatever was done to the side dots bothers me more than the holes.

I agree. The holes in the body are OK but the holes (divots??) in the neck ruin it for me.

After all that removal of body wood and it's still heavier than my heaviest bass.....

You know, I was fine with those holes. I hadn’t ruled out buying it. But then, then, I saw the stacked knobs and realized they must have put a preamp in there. Why do people keep doing that to jazz basses?

Like tattoos and plastic surgery....lol

During the Summer of 1981 I saw a similar mod done to a 1956 Fender Precision Bass. They had also installed a DiMarzio model P. I offered to trade my mint 1977 Precision and $150 for it but he wasn't interested in the offer.
