Oh yes. I could've bagged, but the one girl was rushing the one I was talking to. I figured you could've distracted her talking about Debussy, impressionist art or how you miss the expos...anything to give me enough time to get the digits
I usually wait till the second date before talking about Depussy, but if it works for you go man go!
I am drinking a cup of Yirgacheffe from sweet Marias that I roasted 8 days ago, amazing. Best cup of coffee ever, I was not impressed when I was drinking the coffee after 2-5 days of being roasted but I started noticed a richest flavor from day 6, with today being the best, unfortunately it was the last pot, so I am going to roast a pound today and let it rest for a minimum of 5 days after that I should have 6 days of amazing coffee.
Awesome! My wife just had our first baby, so coffee is needed, but I lack the time to roast.

Buy some of both and see how your roast compares to the pros. This coffee is awesome as espresso, Americano, macchiato, pour over, whatever!
EDIT: This sounds like an ad doesn't it. I have no affiliation and I only buy from this roaster occasionally.

I'm not a big fan of the berry heavy beans, but my wife sure is. I ordered up a couple pounds roasted. We'll prepare it a few different ways, and I'll let you know how we like it. Thanks for the tip.

Yeah I'm not a huge fan of black cat. It's kind of an old school blend. Too dark for my tastes. Some of Intelly's variations of Black Cat are a little better but none would rank in my top espressos personally.
I have never had Black Cat, but from what I hear, it is one of the most balanced blends out there and very easy drinking. That is why it is so popular. I am sitting here enjoying my first cup of the day. This roast is just hitting its best few days at six days out from roast.

The pass for the SCAA floor is spendy, I think $150 each. A few buddies of mine in the Olympia/Lacey area who are roasters will be attending, so I am hoping to get in with them somehow. If not, we'll probably just attend the various competitions and tastings, since those tickets are only $10 each.
