Home coffee roasting

Check this out:

From that list I can personally recommend Handsome, Klatch and Intelligentsia in that order. I have tried or ordered from all three of these roasters.

O very nice thanks. I've had Handsome & Intel--
Handsome is excellent. I've been totheir store maybe not the best layout for a place to sit down but liekly the most hardcore bean roasting in DTLA.
Intelligentsia--I've had it but immemorable & I dislike & avoid that place like no other so pretentious b.s. etc nooooo thanks
Sightglass also good beans they're in SF, CA. [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

i may get one to try it out.

A latte would be a good choice. If you like the milk more foamy, try a macchiato.

Just be careful where you order a macchiato. In most of the world, ordering a "macchiato" will get you a small cup of espresso "marked" with a little bit of steamed milk or foam. Yum!

If you order a macchiato at Starbuck's, you'll get this: "The delicious, multi-layered Macchiato begins with milk steamed until it's stretched and smooth to bring out its natural sweetness and is topped by a dense, creamy foam. Then rich espresso is poured over and through the foam, where it mixes with the milk and creates a brown mark on top. Finally, the barista signs their work of art with a sweet drizzle made with a mix of brown sugar, butter, Madagascar Bourbon vanilla and a slight hint of salt."

If you don't particularly like coffee, it's the perfect drink...

I agree. He said he was going to Starbucks. I have made macchiato's for friends who are used to the Starbucks take on it. When I hand them the drink they asked for they usually have one of those 'this isn't what I wanted, but since he must not know how to make one, I'll drink it anyway' looks on their faces. :D

You think you can. I can say it wearing a red beret and a stripped shirt while holding a baguette.

As an aside, I met two French girls tonight and could've used a wing man who speaks French (to take the ugly one off my hands of course), but you were nowhere to be found. Way to come through in the clutch -____-
