Hooray for cheap basses!

My bass is on the high end of cheap. I paid $429 for a Cort B4 20th anniversary model with swamp ash body, 5pc wenge and rosewood neck, wenge fretboard, Hippshot tuners, Bartolini MK1 pick ups and pre, and a really nice gig bag. I've had it for a couple of months and just put a new set of Elixir stainless steel strings on it. It sounded and played great right out of the box and now it sounds even better.

ok, that's it, i'm getting a new set soon. Just bought an identical set of strings
my fender p-bass came with, but i think i'll try first the elixirs.
They're expensive i've heard, how much did you pay, Need2KnowBasses?

I'm always amazed at the great playability of these cheap basses, in my day (80s) a cheap bass was absolute crud. I'd have killed for a Squier for $300 back than hehe
