The small BEF is $119 and the Pro version is $219.
We spent lots of time measuring and reducing the latency between Hot Hand and the pedal when we created the wireless version (the wired version is intantaneous). I am not aware of anyone being able to detect the latency.
even on a passive bass?? I don't want to get it if it doesn't sound as good as it would on an active bass

I guess you could say I'm asking about both the hot and the envelope filter. I'm trying to figure out how both of them, combined, will sound with my passive geddy lee jazz bass
