Hot P Bass Pickup

Hey guys I'm looking for a hot p bass pickup. I use DR rounds and almost always play with a pick with the tone knob on 10. I'm a fan of dimarzio stuff. I have a p bass with a Quarter Pounder in it, but it sounds kinda weak to me. Basically I'm looking for a hot p pickup, preferably Dimarzio, but open to others.

So what would you all recommend?
Thanks

Never heard QP and weak used in same sentence before. Not sure you will find a hotter pup than that.

The Willpower Middle is fairly hot too, but not hotter. It is much stronger on mids so it will be heard better in a mix at same output level.

I suspect it is that particular bass. I have heard people play them and they sounded great. It has substantially less output than my mim jazz with dimarzio ultra jazzes. I've been looking at the DP127. I just like a good midrangey p sound. I like the fatness you can get out of them with a pick.

One thing about the Split Ps is that each side if dual blade, full humbucking so it doesn't sound like a traditional P pickup. It may not be the sound you are looking for. Personally, I like Model P and Will Power the best. The Model P is a little more gritty sounding than the Will Power and it's a bit cheaper in price.

It sounds like the pickup is broken.

I was loooking to do the same thing, did some research and dicovered the dimarzio dp127. split p twin blade pickup yields over 19k ohms, i have one in my p bass and one i match with a dimarzio dp148 in my p\j bass sound awesome. if you can solider its an easy swap. just slider the black and white leads together, and either tape or coverwith a small pice of heat shrink. leaving some excess off the end of the joint and fold it over a sqsqueeze it shut while still warm, the connect red to +, and green to -, neaten thing up by spiraling the wires together.
