How cold is too cold?

I have a little Rumble 15 amp I take to jams and acoustic gigs. I like to keep it in the trunk of my car, but how cold is too cold of temperature to be keeping it out of doors like that?

I'd not be so worried about temp although I don't leave cabs if near freezing, but I'd be wary of condensation coming into play. So for amps, I dont leave in the car anyway, but near freezing is a big flag to take a bit of care.

I used to bring my combo in from -20ºF and the whole front panel would sweat up like a beer mug. Probably not ideal. (That amp did eventually die on me in the summer.)
I've been storing speaker cabs in my truck year round for years & years with no sign of harm that I can discern.
The more valuable and portable (and potentially delicate) a thing is, the more lengths I go to avoid temperature extremities.
