How did you find TB?

I was looking for info about a few basses and found TB.

Bought a bass back in July and felt compelled to search for a community of bass players.

Google + "Bass Guitar Forum" = TalkBass

I was looking for a bass for my 10yo son. I came across this brand called "SX" and didn't know if they were crap like the guitar my dad bought from Sears when I was a kid. I googled "SX basses" and this was the first place that came up other than Rondo and the manufacturer. Needless to say I found plenty of info on SX's! I've been hooked on TB and SX ever since.

Way back when, back when this internets thing first started going, Bass Player had a little section where it listed what bass content there was on line. That's how I first found out about it. I didn't join until after I got bored with the old Music Player network.

I was looking at basses in pawn shops, so I searched a lot of them on Google. The majority of results were from Talkbass, so I figured I may as well just start looking there, then saw the glory of Talkbass.

Back when I was first starting out I was trying to learn all I could about the instrument, and found all the glorious bass porn on Talkbass... Didn't take long to get addicted, and I lurked for a long time. Finally, I joined a little while ago.

my dad saw a TalkBass bumper sticker on a car nearby where I live and asked if I was a part of it. I wasn't, so I came home and checked it out, and it's been great, albeit I don't post that much.

One day I typed a search for "bass guitar forums." That's how I came across the TB forum.

I must say that as a result I no longer go to any other forums. Fact is I deleted them from my "favorites" on my computer. All the rest were guitar forums and I was starting to hate the overall negativity that was appearing more and more on those forums.

I hope that never happens here.

I notice a lot of our new Tb'ers came Via Google. Same here. Were scratching for info on the bass and the rest is history.

Now i'm addicted to Tb.
