How do you pronounce Moog?

Harris: Everybody has such weird names now. It's like Tiffany with a p-h-i, and instead of Nancy, it's Nancine.
SanDeE*: Big "S," small "a," small "n," big "D," small "e," big "E."
Harris: What?
SanDeE*: Big "S," small "a," small "n," big "D," small "e," big "E." Big "S," small "a," small "n," big "D," small "e," big "E." And there's a little star at the end.
L.A.Story - one of my favorite movies to quote! "Oh Pointy birds, oh pointy pointy."

and on topic, here in New England there was a goalie for the Bruins named Andy Moog, so everyone knows it's Mogue like Rogue.

How does a chemist pronounce unionized?

FWIW, I work as a building automation engineer for a unionized electrical company, so I'm sure I say it as a plumber would, and I can't imagine another way of saying it.

I guess a chemist would think of "unionized" as a synonym for "not ionized," as in ionized water. I bet union chemists would need to spend a good chunk of the day just clarifying what the heck they were talking about.
